RENs’ philosophy is all about ‘clean skincare’ - and that is exactly what they do and what you feel when using their products. From the packaging to the actual ingredients of their products; the experience feels ‘clean’.
It’s a brand I've heard so much about and I'm really glad they stock it in Muscat at The Chedi Spa as well as WQ Spa. I was on the lookout for their Wake Wonderful Night – Time Facial but it was out of stock and I ended up picking up the day moisturizer from their anti-ageing range (yes, I'm in that category now) and it felt really good on my skin I ended up picking up the night cream too.
Let me tell you about the actual product first then move into packaging (which I love). The product has a thick consistency and it’s very hydrating on the skin and doesn't leave my combination skin oily, just really hydrated. As I explained extensively - here- how little time I have in the morning to get ready, so any moisturizer that promises to sink into my skin in seconds is a winner to me.
The scent…frankincense is a scent I personally like and looking back at how natural REN products are I'm not surprised that they have released this frankincense range because of its many benefits. If you have sensitive skin, it’s great news because although its scented, it wouldn't react on your skin. But, if you’re not a fan of frankincense I wouldn't recommend it for you because the scent is very evident!
They both come in plastic, light weight packaging with a pump dispenser which is what I always prefer. Two things that bother me about the packaging (but still not a deal breaker) are: 1) They both look exactly the same, it’s very easy to mistake one for the other and 2) One full pump dispenses way to much product than you would really need, so always use half a pump for a full application. Look, told you it wasn't a deal breaker.
