I am constantly trying products to find what better suits my skin and my lifestyle; and trying even harder to find a skin routine that I can stick to. Serum is part of the routine that I enjoy because when using the correct one, the results are almost instant. I apply it between cleansing my face and moisturizing it.
This is one of those products where as soon as you stop using it, you start feeling that something’s missing. Although it claims to reduce the size of pores by 69% in 4 weeks, to me it’s more of a temporary and effective product to reduce the appearance of pores and reflect incredibly smooth skin.
Lets have a closer look at the Estée Lauder's Idealist Pore minimizing skin refinisher:
Packaging: I absolutely love the packaging of the 75 ml bottle. Its hygienic and easy to use because of the built in pump it comes with. The bottle looks like glass but it’s actually plastic, which makes it elegant and practical at the same time.
Formula: The serum has a great amount of Silicone in its ingredients which means, it feels like a makeup primer; and that is what helps the skin feel even and smooth (I still use my make up primer before applying makeup). I personally love the fresh smell of it in the morning. If you get any reactions from scented products, be careful because it does contain lavender and grapefruit extracts that could cause irritation on sensitive skin.
Price: Although the price is relatively high in comparison to other high end skin care products, however, the bottle (75ml) does last up to 6 months easily with the daily use.
I tried out different brands and I always end up going back to Estée Lauder’s product. I definitely recommend it. It retails at Muscat Pharmacy perfumeries and cosmetics for RO 46.000.
