I was amazed when I first read about skincare products that have ingredients that will work in your sleep. It felt effortless and puts less pressure on me putting time aside for a mask at home or an in depth exfoliation during a busy week - wouldn’t you love that?
I wanted to share my three favourite products I use when I go to bed and my skin needs an extra TLC.
Starting off with the Luna from Sunday Riley; its one of the strangest looking skincare I have personally used. The ink blue oil looks incredible and works like magic. Basically it is a retinol product which essentially helps with exfoliating your skin and it has great anti ageing properties and hydrating ones too which all sounds amazing.
If like me, you have suffered from acne before, enlarged pores, marks and dehydration, this one is for you.
The ingredients are all organic and cold pressed like extracts of avocado, chia and concord grape seed . I tend to apply it a few days in a row, patting a few drops into my skin after I have cleansed and let it settle in over night without moisturising after I have applied it. I reach out for it when my skin feels irritated or hormonal and it helps calm it down. Many claim that they have seen overnight results, personally it took a few applications before I felt its effect and now I am hooked.
Sarah Chapman Skincare in general is a personal favourite of mine. Everything I tried has been good quality and always a luxurious time when doing my skincare. Her ‘Overnight Facial Oil’ was one of the first products of this nature that I have used and it got me intrigued to continue exploring more. Its a colourless oil that hydrates my skin and helps even it out by the morning. I have a more in depth review of the range here.
You can see the trend of hydration in these recommendations and the last one is no different. the Jelly Sleeping Mask from Dior’s Hydra Life range is such a good go to when your skin is in need of an extra boost of hydration. Its consistency is completely different from the other two where it comes in a gel like formula. This makes it cooling and you can really feel your skin being nourished when you apply it, giving you super moisturised skin in the morning.
All of these products are at the higher end of the range, but these are the little extra steps that really make a difference to the condition of your skin, making it look and feel better. I must admit i don't use them every single evening but on days where I feel my skin could use some extra help, I’ll evaluate the situation and reach out for one of them. It is worth mentioning that you only use a tiny amount of those treatments and they will last a while.
Do share your experiences with these products if you have tried them or recommend products you love, I would love to try them out.
