I have been eyeing Elemis products for a couple years but always hesitated to buy any of its products because it wasn't targeted at problematic teenage /young adult skin. At least not the products I came across. Although I loved how it felt when I would have a facial with their products at my favorite spa - essence spa.
When I ‘suddenly’ ran out of my Sarah Chapman range (love the products, the packaging, not so much, read here), I decided then that I needed something gentle on my skin, cleanses, tones and moisturizes well. A range that wasn’t invasive. I picked up the Elemis travel kit, and it came in a pretty box with four products: oil cleanser, toner, day and night moisturizer. It was such a convenient pack to buy and cost effective. I have been enjoying it and loving the fact that it will last for 4-6 weeks before I find something to tackle my problematic areas.
It feels like I'm buying time with my skin without compromising on its wellbeing…if that makes sense… Find out how I feel about each one of the items down below.
Nourishing Omega-Rich Cleansing Oil
A gentle oil that removes makeup and cleans my skin very well without drying it out. It hasn’t irritated my eyes while using it and a little goes a long way. It is recommended for normal/dry skin.
Balancing Lavender Toner
This one is definitely my favorite, it’s the lavender scent in it that makes it so soothing and relaxing to use. As soon as I apply it, my skin feels balanced and ready to take on the day. I am definitely buying the full size bottle of it.
Hydra - Balance Day Cream
It has been doing a good job moisturizing my skin in the morning. It contains Hyaluronic Acid which locks in essential moisture and makes the skin feel smooth and nourished. Do note it does not contain any SPF and it works best for normal to dry skin.
Hydra - Nourish Night Cream
Its consistency is a little thicker than the day moisturizer. It is full of antioxidants which help retain the moisture and de-stresses tired and fatigue skin. I enjoyed using it but I wish everything had that lavender scent.
I picked up the set from Essence Spa in Al IIlam (@essencespaoman) and it was a great way for me to explore Elemis products and would be a great gift too. Now I can be more confident when I splurge on the full size products.
