Before we go out for another episode of #TLE, I wanted to drop by here and tell you a little more about what it is all about.
I personally love watching instastories and youtube videos about whats new with beauty, fashion, food, gadgets and more. However not everything is accessible when I end up following beautiful people from Brazil, Australia and Europe. Read More
When a product claims to act like a real life instagram filter and blur out imperfections, I am definitely sold. Pores are an area that I’ve struggled with from an early age with along with my acne struggle. Read More
It took me ages to find my perfect shade from Make Up Forevers’ extensive foundation selection and I got it in the liquid form because it was more suitable for daily usage. I enjoyed it so much and used it exclusively until it ran out. Read More
Flashback is by far the worst surprise anyone can get when looking back at any pictures. If you’re not sure what I’m talking about, it’s when you look at a picture and all you see is the blotchy white cast; usually under your eyes, where your highlighter is, around your mouth or …just all over. If I had to pick 5 makeup products to live with, Mascara will be in my top 3 for sure. I would even pick it over liquid eyeliner! Over the past 6 months, my collection of great mascaras have grown so quickly and I have so much love for them for different reasons and different occasions. Read More
Despite my love for nail polish, I am probably the worst at actually doing a good job painting my nails and almost always get them done at the spa. To me, whichever base coat they use (OPI or Essie most of the time) was good enough for me. Until I noticed my nails chipping and breaking more often than they usually would and I started exploring strengthening nail products as well as different protective base coats. Read More
After I was done with my awkward make up ‘trial and error’ phase as a teenager I found myself in a safe zone with make-up. Keeping in mind I experimented with really dark brown lip colors in my teen years (and I might have evidence from those days that need to be destroyed), I made a shift to pink - nude neutrals ever since…until I discovered the world of Red. I am probably the biggest fan of H&M. The more I purchased from them the more talented I became at recognizing items that will last long in my wardrobe. The great thing with High-street brands (Zara, Topshop, Massimo Dutti…my list goes on) is that they are constantly updating their collections and keeping them updated with the latest trends. This is a makeup post, I promise! Read More
I really didn’t know what to expect from Lancôme’s nail polish as I haven’t tried any before. I got the Lancôme's Rouge Reglisse (473 N) in a gift set with another product purchase. I usually opt for drugstore brands when purchasing a nail polish or pick from the OPI Infinite or Vinylux collection at the spa when getting my nails done. Read More
There are many products and methods to fill in your eyebrows; creams, powders and crayons are some that I rotate between depending on how my eyebrows are looking or most of the time on how much time I have to do my makeup that day. Read More
I have been trying to restock my Soar lip liner from M.A.C across 3 countries for 6 months and finally managed to get my hands on it in Muscat. As the Kylie Jenner tutorials flooded Youtube, Soar lip liner disappeared soon after. Read More
Looking back at when I started painting my nails, it must have been in 6th grade, at the back of Mr. Brian’s class using black marker or the infamous Tipp - ex (or White Corrector). I’m pretty sure my nails hated me then, but I truly thought it was genius. Read More
After posting “A Muscat Week | One “and mentioning the lash extensions I got done; many of you sent me messages for more details. And here it is!
The idea behind Nouveau Lashes is to provide the client with natural looking lashes in terms of length and thickness. So if you are looking for outrageous length and volume for your lashes, this is definitely not for you. Read More
I have suffered from acne throughout high-school and university; got an Accutane treatment when I was 19 and was left with acne scars on my cheeks, some discoloration and occasional breakouts. With the situation I have, I really need my foundation coverage to be medium to high to even out my base. Read More
I have always enjoyed the intensity I got to my eye makeup when I line my water line with black Kohl. Taking it to the next level, I started experimenting with tight lining; where you line the upper inside of the eyelid. Read More
A long lasting, non-drying lipstick is something I really appreciate. On my recent trip to London, I explored the matte lip pencils from Nars, and they are beautiful. Really comfortable on the lips, last for ages (even after meals) and are very easy to apply. They do come in a great colour range too; 19 shades, from neutral to bold shades. Read More
The picture above was posted sometime in April on a trip to Germany and since then I have received many questions about the lipstick I was wearing, and here it is. Read More
I must confess that whenever I try to paint my own nails, I fail miserably and end up spending far too much time trying to perfect them. Going to the experts is the way it is until I get the chance to really get this right. Having said that, when challenged with very little "free time" I look for two things in a nail polish brand; a long lasting formula with a range of colours that I fancy.
leaning your brushes is as important as using them, and so I've decided to dedicate this post to this very thing.
My weekend was well spent, deep cleaning my brushes with the following steps and tools: Read More
Ever wished there was a lip gloss pigmented like a long lasting lipstick? I might have found what you are wishing for.
Lip gloss tends to be sticky, last for a very short time and the pigmentation is very poor – reminds me of high school when the ultimate makeup product was lip gloss. Lip Lacquers look pretty much like lip glosses from the packaging, however, the formula of the product and it’s applicator are different in the Rimmel London's Apocalips. Read More
